When a young couple called on Monetti Custom Homes to renovate an existing residence, they had their work cut out for them. Originally built in the early 2000s, the home had little in the way of architectural continuity, with clashing styles and dated design aesthetics. As parents, the homeowners wanted a casual, family-friendly living space with an open floor plan and a seamless transition from indoor and outdoor living. A whole-home gut was necessary. One of the property's most compelling elements is the NanaWall door system, which wraps around a corner and connects the interior living space to a deck overlooking the dunes. Other details include a reclaimed wood stair wall, ipe decking, glass deck railing, in-ground pool and hot tub, pergola and an exterior spiral staircase with access to all levels. The finished product is a minimalist, modern/contemporary setting for generations of gatherings. In fact, the homeowners are so pleased with Monetti, they've contracted the firm to build a property next door for their family members.
