How have you modified your day-to-day business operations to keep projects moving while keeping employees and clients safe?
We started our COVID-19 safety procedures in early March which has allowed us to continue working and not have a single worker become ill.  First, we educated our employees on the signs and symptoms of the virus and ask them daily if they are experiencing any of these. If they are, we require they stay home and follow CDC guidelines before returning to work. We immediately implemented a PPE program including masks, eye protection, gloves and hand sanitization. The drivers sanitize their trucks before entering them to ensure their workspace is clean and safe.  Our office is cleaned daily by our operations managers and our corporate office has provided us training and processes to keep our customers and employees safe. To help our customers we offer the ability to send a picture for an estimate or provide a no-contact estimate if the items are outside or in the garage. We offer “No Contact” service which means we wear PPE, stay 6 feet away from the clients and do not need them to touch anything that our employees touch.

How has this pandemic affected your family?
My family and I have been practicing social distancing and it has kept us safe. The low point for us has been a family friend who was in a nursing home passed away from COVID-19 and he was someone we all adored and respected. My wife is a public school kindergarten teacher and her job is much harder now by having to create all new lessons and videos  to support her students remotely.  My two sons have continued to do their schoolwork remotely and that has been challenging keeping them motivated  and on task.  … We are planning some outdoor adventures this summer to help keep us physically and mentally active.
