John Gidding at the Philadelphia Home Show

Notice: Undefined variable: design_ideasRecord in /home/s2shost/public_html/sites/hh/stories/post.php on line 150

You may recognize John Gidding from his time hosting HGTV's Curb Appeal and Curb Appeal: The Block, as well as his appearances on Rachel Ray where the architect and designer dishes out advice to homeowners on sprucing up their homes. House & Home spoke to Gidding about his upcoming presentation at the Philly Home Show and why he loves hearing from the audience.

House & Home: You've been traveling on the Home Show circuit for a few weeks. What gets you excited about being in different cities?
John Gidding: Every city has different questions and I love hearing from people. I always start by opening the floor up for questions and I let the audience guide the conversation. People have certain projects in mind and I incorporate that into the framework of what I'm presenting.

H&H: What's one common theme you hear across the country?
JG: There seems to be a general assumption that curb appeal is something you only work on when you want to sell, but that should not be the case. Curb appeal is something you should enjoy.

H&H: What can attendees expect to hear from you during your presentation at the Philly Home Show?
JG: I'll discuss the top mistakes people overlook and the top five things you can do to improve curb appeal without spending too much money. Attendees can go right home and put these changes into effect.
