Hader Rivas is one such Realtor who has not only been in this industry for 16 years, but has lived in the Shore region since 1993. He says he’s been drawn to real estate and how it can create wealth since he was a teenager. “Living in this immediate area has allowed me to see multiple facets to the real estate industry; and therefore it has allowed me to truly appreciate the intricate details one must take in when selling and buying in this area,” Rivas says.

How does the Shore market differ from other areas inland?
Real estate is hyper local, meaning that the surrounding amenities are one of the key factors in determining a home’s true market value. The Shore gives families a chance to own a vacation home where they can create memories that will last a lifetime, as well as the opportunity to create passive income. Being on the Shore allows for a unique experience whether it be the beaches, restaurants, carnival games, water parks or shopping outlets, there is something for everybody to enjoy—making it a very desirable place to live! The inland is a special place because although it has its own set of amenities it gives locals the fortuity to go out and enjoy what the Shore has to offer. It can be considered a central hub to the Shore tow ns where you’re never too far from anything. Overall, the main distinctions between the Shore and the inland are the location and price points, everything is relatively close, so realistically speaking it’s going to come down to the clients’ preference and what they would like to be surrounded by.
How would you describe the current Shore market and what should readers do now if they are interested in buying or selling in that region?
The Shore market has been on the upswing for approximately 24 months mainly due to the fact that lower pr ices have enabled out-of-state buyers to invest in our area. We’ve seen this type of progress not just within the Shore but with the inland as well, which dictates that it is a hot market for both sellers and buyers. If you’re planning on selling your home, then don’t wait until the middle of the spring or summer to list, if you can help it. Most sellers want to catch the spring and summer markets, and thus a large influx of listings will hit the market which in return will create more competition for you. We educate all our sellers on the best strategy and work together to ensure we help you get top dollar for your home.
