At Global World Design, one of the region's most renowned outdoor design-build firms, Licensed Landscape Architect Christopher Kendzierski leads a team of likeminded professionals who specialize in transforming a wide range of properties into spectacular masterpieces. With a staff consisting of several additional landscape architects, horticulturalists and experienced designers, their mission is to solve a homeowner's issues through meticulous planning and to bring their dream landscape to life.

Take one recent client, who turned to Global World Design after consulting with multiple companies about an ambitious outdoor project he hoped to begin in his backyard.

Where other companies saw obstacles, Global World Design saw opportunity. When Christopher informed this particular customer that his team had an overall concept in mind and a way to handle the unique challenges of the property, and that they looked forward to fulfilling this vision, it was a special moment.

"The homeowner was just blown away," Kendzierski recalls. "We came in with a completely different approach that gave him exactly what he wanted. If you have been told many times that it can't be done, we're the ones who will tell you it can be done."

Global World Design handles every aspect of a project from start to finish, including the most beautiful plantings that are suitable for the property and continuing on with hardscaping, a shade structure such as a pavilion or pergola, amenities like an outdoor kitchen or fireplace, and even a new swimming pool.

In Global's design studio, the staff—including two members with master's degrees from Rutgers University—all bring their different perspectives and collaborate on a plan that blends seamlessly together with the surrounding area.

A detailed 3D rendering is presented to the homeowners to give them an image of what the finished space will look like, and allows them to refine their plan.

"We pull together what we call a design synthesis by analyzing the property and deciding on a concept based on what the homeowner wants," Christopher says. "At the end of the day, when we leave it doesn't belong to us, it belongs to the homeowner. So we like to tell people that we'll collaborate with them and solve whatever issues they have through design."

Once the design is complete, Global has professionals in the field with the expertise to fulfill the vision and the certifications to work with specific, unique materials that few other companies in the area possess. Christopher and his Global team are not just present at the time of the build but also years down the line to ensure the sustainability of the plantings and landscape.

"I'm involved in every project that we do," he says. "Many of our clients are on project three, four, five and six with us. That's how we gain much of our business, and our customers continue to come back when they're looking to add a different phase to their home."

Christopher understands that it takes a certain level of trust for homeowners to hire a landscape architect, and he takes the responsibility seriously. His passion for his work has never waned throughout his career, and his team of landscape architects has the same devotion to the craft.
