AAA Hellenic Marble
AAA Hellenic Marble

As a client, you never want to feel yourself get lost in the shuffle and AAA Hellenic Marble has proven that its clients are not just another number. The family-focused business has over two decades of experience in providing top-notch marble and tile products to its valued customers looking to redesign their kitchen, bathroom, fireplace or foyer. We spoke with Mike Werner, sales manager at AAA Hellenic Marble, to learn what he believes goes into the family business and the process and benefits of marble, granite and tile installations.

Knowing AAA Hellenic Marble is a family- owned business, can you explain some of the core values you stand behind?
Being in business for over 20 years, one of our main focuses is in attention to quality and detail. We’ve always strived to offer our customers some of the nicest products at the most competitive price points possible. As a family-owned business, we’ve always taken pride in not only our customer service but making sure that the client has a personable experience. We are blessed to have a very knowledgeable team that consistently performs well together and loves what they do.

Can you describe the process from beginning to end once a customer chooses AAA Hellenic Marble?
We have a very knowledgeable template staff so our template technicians will come to the residence when the project is ready for us, and we use digital machinery to scribe or template a project to be custom for the customer’s specific application. We use that digital template to program into our CNC operated machinery at our facility, and it’s cut to a very small tolerance ensuring a perfect fit for the project.

The template is actually building the exact replica of what the countertops are going to be fabricated into, so that’s the program  that we use to cut and fabricate the countertops and then upon completion our install crews will take everything over and install it.

What are the benefits and features of granite, marble and tile?
They just enhance the beauty and aesthetics of a project depending on what kind of color palette somebody’s dealing with. There are all kinds of different colors and variations and the natural stone offers depth and beauty to a project that just isn’t offered in any other product.

What are a few ways homeowners can incorporate marble into places in their home such as the kitchen, bathroom or even fireplaces?
I’m still finding that marble for all of these applications is still the most ideal just because some granites and other products can be a little bit on the busier side. Nothing can compare to the beauty of natural stone, which has been used for thousands of years, while enhancing and elevating the finished product to something that a client will be proud of and love for many years to come.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We take the time to hand pick our materials. We directly import from overseas and what that enables us to do is offer a slightly more competitive price on some of the more exotic materials that we offer. … Beyond that everything  is done in house. We’ve always had our own employees and all the stages of the project from template fabrication to install is all done in house.

While not losing focus of the craftsmanship and quality for their finished product, we always meet a client’s deadline. … Our shop is really geared toward putting different finishes on stones. We can put a honed and leathered finishing to keep up with the more modern trends  and things like mitering—a mitered edge on countertops or double lamination. These things are pretty difficult to do and our company does it very, very well without a whole lot of strenuous concern. Our craftsmen always take their time and have a lot of pride in what they do.
