The garage floor can take a beating from weather, cars, etc. Can that lead to long-lasting problems with a regular concrete floor?
Without the protection of a garage floor coating, concrete begins to break apart, and elements such as salt and oil can seep into the concrete and deteriorate the surface. Over time, you will start to see cracking, chipping and wearing. We hear from a lot of our customers that they power wash the concrete floor and, a week later, it's dirty and dusty again, and that's the concrete breaking apart. When you place an industrial-grade coating over the concrete, it creates a durable, layered floor and prevents the concrete from breaking apart. It's slip resistant, easy to clean and it pulls the space together with a beautiful, smooth finish.

How do you help the homeowner decide on the best flooring solution?
We recommend our polyaspartic flake floor system. It's the most durable, long-lasting floor we offer. It won't yellow or fade over time because it's UV-resistant. It's also resistant to oil, petroleum and salt. It's non-slip, has low odor during installation, and is very low maintenance. It's a fast, inexpensive way to beautify your garage and extend your living space.

Is that floor available in a variety of colors?
We carry six standard colors in our location, but we can offer custom colors to coordinate with our customers' home décor or their favorite sports team. For example, we've done Los Angeles Lakers-themed floors in purple. We have a customer right now who is considering a new glow-in-the-dark flake that we offer. It looks white during the day and, when you turn the lights off at night, the white flakes glow in the dark. The grays are the most popular, but we have a lot of customers who have upgraded to custom colors. We're happy to work with our customers to select colors they will love for years to come.

Why is relying on an experienced company like yours better than taking on a garage floor as a DIY project?
The difference comes down to the level of expertise, the prep work and the products. Our expertly trained team, our industrial-grade equipment and our commercial-grade products make our floor coatings premium and no-fuss for our customers. Our team begins each project by grinding the floor. We have a top-of-the-line LAVINA grinder; it's not something you can rent yourself. Then, we fill and smooth every area that needs to be repaired, including every little crack that's showing, and that's really important because a lot of companies will just coat over it, but that's not going to fix the issues. From there, the floor needs to be meticulously cleaned, with not one speck of dust on the floor for the base coat to adhere properly. Following the base coat, we apply a layer of flexible vinyl flakes, followed by a later of premium, industrial-grade top coat with an anti-slip formula. It's a complex process and our teams are trained to deliver a beautiful, reliable, finished floor in just one day.

What kind of warranty do you offer?
Our floors are guaranteed for 21 years. If we ever decide to retire or leave the state, Garage Kings still honors the warranty and will send the next location out to address any concerns. The homeowner never has to worry about us not coming back and fixing it if something happens.
